2009-11-18 [windowframe]: You could have done that yourself, you know.
2009-11-18 [Alexi Ice]: ^^ I wasn't sure. Since the open sign at the bottom was highlighted which I've never noticed before.
2010-09-14 [Hedda]: It should be open!
New year, new contest!
But why is the deadline on the 31st? That makes no sense. I want to take pictures from my Halloween parties. Sweden's Halloween is on the 6th of November, by the way.
I'm a little unsure about 3 too. It's badly worded. Isn't it enough to take a photo with your username (or why not yourself?) in what is obviously the same photo session (is "photo session" the same as "photoshoot"? I don't think so, but I'm not sure) and same object?
2010-09-14 [Thunder Cid]: I may be able to clarify things.
I agree that the 31st is not an appropriate deadline. Do you think the 2nd would be better for photography?
I'll talk to [Chimes] about the wording.
2010-09-14 [All_Most PUNK]: No, it wouldn't be better, since still Sweden's Halloween (6th) would be left out. I guess it should be around the 10th.
2010-09-14 [windowframe]: Yes photo session = photoshoot. I just deleted the last part of 3. I think it's pretty clear now.
The deadline for the costume contest is the 3rd, for the same kind of reason (people taking photos of their costume when they're actually wearing it at halloween). Which is when the costume deadline usually is (clearly hedda has never wanted to enter the costume contest before and thus this has not been a problem :P) We could shift the deadline for both back to the 7th/8th.
2010-09-16 [Hedda]: The 3rd simply doesn't work for Swedes. Most of the Halloween parties are on the 5th and 6th here (That is: The first Friday and Saturday in November). Is it only Sweden who is having this bad habit of moving holidays to the closest weekend?
The 31st is a Sunday and Monday isn't a holiday in most countries (even though most of the Elftowners live in countries where it is), so I can't be alone with this problem.
2010-09-16 [Thunder Cid]: I have no problems switching it to the 8th.
2010-09-16 [Daisy le Fleur]: Most excellent..can
2010-09-16 [Alexi Ice]: Should we move all the deadlines, then?
2010-09-16 [windowframe]: No, there's no reason to move them all. Nothing stops people drawing or writing before the actual date of halloween.
2010-09-17 [Alexi Ice]: Oh, duh. That was a stupid question. >> Lol. Sorry
2010-10-11 [Hedda]: I'm invited to a Halloween party the 30th now
We'll see if there will be more...
2010-10-12 [Lothuriel]: I LOVE Halloween parties! I have 2 so far!
2010-10-12 [XxTsomexX]: I never get invited to any, so I'm making my own XD lol
2010-10-12 [Lothuriel]: Even more fun!
2011-06-23 [Cillamoon]: Muhahahaha! I see I have found/finally caught up to you Silvie! I have been stalking you for the past hour on ET (well not really stalking) and have now managed to fall on the same pages you are on too! :)
2011-06-23 [windowframe]: X) Sorry. Someone corrected some grammar errors in the rules of another current contest, and I suddenly realised that because we keep using the same wikis for contests, the rules are way out of date with what we have on the template. So I figured now, when none of the contests were open, was a good time to update all the rules to match the template. :P
2011-06-23 [Cillamoon]: Totally, great time! I'm just following you around to see where I can help here and there.
2011-10-01 [Lothuriel]: This is going to be a challenge!! I love it!
2011-10-04 [FamousPanda]: Is there a proof photo?
2012-10-13 [windowframe]: You submit you 're entry on: halloween photograph 12, page 1. Just edit the page and add your name and an image tag for your photo. Several other people have already entered, so you can use their entries as a guide for the format. :)
2012-10-14 [JRW]: Got it.
thanks! :-)
